My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world… I am upset because I see a meaningless world… A meaningless world engenders fear… God did not create a meaningless world… My thoughts are images that I have made…
Meaninglessness: What is the meaning of what the Course is referring to here? The Course is telling us here that what is not of God is simply not real.
We are being invited to accept that the dualistic premise, by which we believed our lives to be our lives, might perhaps be off the mark, and therefore a complete misperception.
The life we think we see is not based in the premise of Creation, which is unified Love; therefore, it is not real and has no meaning. It is meaningless. My thoughts are images that I have made. So whatever I see reflects my thoughts and my thoughts reflect what I believe I am....
This then; the experience of who/what I am, is the bottom-line; the real deal, the premise of purpose…
Who and what do I believe I am? What do I want to be real for me? What do I value? ~ Do I consult the truth or the lie for my identity?
This premise election is no small thing. It gives life to reality as we believe it is. And this premise determines everything we see and experience….
The premise chosen, out-pictures peace or conflict, Love or specialness, brother or enemy, sameness or differences…redundant nothingness or bright, brilliant “God” in everything I see …
We are systematically training our minds to look beyond our thoughts, looking deep within the mind for the thoughts we think with God as a point of reference or premise. It is this looking within and allowing God to reveal Life to us, through giving up the desire for anything else that gives everything its meaning.
Every moment of every day, this is the question up for review... “Will I cover over this present moment of LIFE with the past/future thoughts and beliefs of the world; or will I surrender to the Life that is what I am in Truth?”
*God did not create a meaningless world. Let us remember the power of decision is our own, and recognize where we truly abide…. Let us choose carefully; consult a guide deep within and wait till the experience of peace. Here, the truth of God’s Son hears One Voice… And now we choose and trust …
This world is like one of those ‘magic-eye’ pictures. One could look at a whole gallery of this genre and see many pictures. And think “that’s it ~I saw those pictures…
But say an ‘inner’-gallery guide comes up to you and tells you to look deeper at what you think you see… past the image you think are the art…in fact, forget the image you thought you saw entirely, and look deeper; looking deeper not by focusing or concentrating harder on the one that first automatically appeared, but rather relax your focus, and just be present with the image… Let the picture, reveal itself… Through releasing the barrier of preconceived ideas/judgments a whole new vision begins to emerge… yes?
Gratitude and joy abound as we see that the belief in illusions was the error that has already been corrected by the Holy Spirit. The Mind that thinks with God has no opposite. This is the gift of the Atonement… Accepting the Atonement for myself, accepting correction for my belief about who and what I am is, finally, the only decision to make; the only decision worthy of the Son of God.
We decide to accept what is REALLY true, and to ‘deny the denial of TRUTH. What could be more worthy of our devotion and full attention?
Let’s face it, we’re no longer interested in going-with–the–flow of the world’s thought system as our point of reference, or we wouldn’t be doing this. So, the first step is simple; we begin by joining with the Holy Spirit and we merely observe the nothingness of the thoughts we thought were real, by detaching and withdrawing our belief… zeroing in on that still point of Quiet Light that lights up beliefs and unbelief and swallows the darkness in the Light of forgiveness.
We can then begin to look more deeply upon of world apparent illusions, unfolding and look deeper still within the mind, until, through forgiveness’s healing light, the REAL WORLD reveals itself … resulting in an experience of unspeakable JOY and eternal gratitude…
